I experimented with a wide range of inks and traditional recipes to understand the material, its behavior and its possibilities. I created a pigment from shells, and successfully screen printed with it. However, after researching the ecological role of seashells, I decided to shift away from this material. I began exploring alternative sources, creating water-based inks from local, natural materials found on the street. Curious about whether these water-based inks could be transformed into stable pigments, I researched lake pigments. For the final outcome of this project I made lake pigments of Chestnut leaves.
